Corns and Callus




Corns and calluses are annoying and sometimes painful thickenings that form in the skin in areas of pressure. The medical term for the thickened skin that forms corns and calluses is hyperkeratosis.

Causes:

The primary causes of Foot Corn are:
  • Tight fitting shoes can cause corns.
  • Stitch or seam inside the shoe may rub against the toe.
  • Abnormality in walking.
  • Bunions and hammertoes. These can cause rubbing of the foot, while wearing shoes.
  • When surgery is carried out to the lower extremities.
  • Wearing sandals without socks can create problems. Socks should fit properly.
  • Not using gloves while working can cause corns on hands.
Symptoms:
Corns and calluses occur on parts of the feet and sometimes the fingers. Corns can be painful to walk on, even when they are small. Common locations for corns are
  • On the sole, over the metatarsal arch (the “ball” of the foot);
  • On the outside of the fifth (small or “pinky”) toe, where it rubs against the shoe; and
  • Between the fourth and fifth toes. Unlike other corns that are firm and flesh-colored, corns between the toes are often whitish and messy; they are sometimes called “soft corns” (heloma molles), in contrast to the more common “hard corns” (heloma durums) found in other locations.
Diagnosis:
  • Wearing well-fitting, comfortable shoes is useful.
  • Avoid tight fitting hosiery or shoes.
  • One should wear comfortable shoes.
  • In many situations, calluses and corns can be prevented by reducing or eliminating the circumstances that lead to increased pressure at specific points on the hands and feet.

Chemical constituents(Chocolate weed leaves): A phytochemical study of leaves of Melochia corchorifolia has shown the presence of triterpenes: friedelin, friedelinol and β-amyrin; flavonol glycosides: hibifolin, triflin and melocorin; aliphatic compounds; flavonoids: vitexin and robunin; β-D-sitosterol and its stearate; β-D-glucoside and alkaloids.
Chemical Constituents (Henna)Lawsone is the major active principle (coloring and pharmacological) in henna. It is not present in the bark, stem, or root of the henna plant. Its concentrations in the leaves vary with climatic conditions; hot localities yield henna with higher lawsone content than temperate areas. There has been a report indicating lawsone to be a degradation and autoxidation product of primary glycosides called hennosides A, B, and C.
Phyllanthus is an herbal medicine with anti-viral effect. Phyllanthus blocks DNA polymerase, the enzyme needed for the Hepatitis B virus to reproduce. Phyllanthus species (family Euphorbiacease) are generally well known for the biologically active compounds they possess. In particular, the herb P.amarus is known for its anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) activity.
Take some leaves of pyllanthus, clean and grind it. Then apply on your corns.


Take henna root bark and grind it.Then apply on your corns.
Take some chocolateweed leaves. Clean and add some turmeric powder. Grind it. Then apply on your corns and callus.
Take some plumbago root bark, grind it and apply on your corns before go to the bed.
Take some jasmine plant leaves juice. Apply on your corns.
Jasmine Flower Oil,if applied on the corn,not only removes the corn but also makes the skin soft and tender
Jasmine Flower is worn on head relives of headache and prepares Male brain glands for active sexual life.


Euphorbia spurge resin has the capacity to cure the corns problem,so if you take a required amount of euphorbia spurge resin  and apply it on corn place.This will help remove the corn and relieves pain.
Grind the henna, turmeric, acorus calamus.Apply daily to to see long time results.
Grind the turmeric, acorus calamus, camphor, henna leaves.

Causes:
  • Exposure to wood smoke.
  • Breathing polluted air.
  • Inhaling other respiratory irritants such as perfumes or cleaning products.
  • Exposure to airway irritants at the workplace.
  • Breathing in allergy-causing substances (allergens) such as molds, dust, or animal dander.
  • An upper respiratory infection, such as a cold, flu, sinusitis, or bronchitis.
  • Exposure to cold, dry weather.
  • Emotional excitement or stress.
  • Genetic predisposition: a parent, brother, or sister also has asthma.
Symptoms:
  • Wheezing.
  • Breathlessness.
  • Chest tightness.
  • Coughing and difficulty speaking.
  • Wheezing is a musical, whistling, or hissing sound with breathing.
  • Wheezes are most often heard during exhalation, but they can occur during breathing in (inhaling).
Diagnosis:
  • Keep taking your asthma medications after you are discharged. This is extremely important. Although the symptoms of an acute asthma attack go away after appropriate treatment, asthma itself never goes away. If your asthma attacks are triggered by an allergic reaction, avoid your triggers as much as possible.

Natural Remedies:
  • An analysis of the betel leaf shows it to consist of moisture 85.4 per cent, protein 3.1 per cent, fat 0.8 per cent, minerals 2.3 per cent, fibre 2.3 per cent and carbohydrates 6.1 per cent per 100 grams. Its minerals and vitamin contents are calcium, carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and vitamin C. Its calorific value is 44.
  • Pepper is used in certain tonic and rubefacient preparations and also used as flavour ingredient in most major food products including non alcoholic beverages, candies, baked foods, meat and meat products, Cheese, Condiments and relishes.
Take some pepper. Soak into the betel leaves juice for 2 days. After that, dry it and power it. Take half teaspoon of this powder, mix with honey and eat it twice a day after take your food.

Medication Through Vegetables

                             Most of us dont eat vegetables in the right quantity in our everyday life.According Indian customs,to eat a lot of rice,vegetables are included in small quantity to adjust the taste.This is very bad.Even though the vegetables offer us less protein(To grow muscles) and fat(for body heat),they are rich in salts,minerals and vitamins.Thats why the vegetables have to be consumed in large quantities and rice in a lesser quantity.
                             Try a different vegetable everyday.Best is to buy fresh vegetables everyday.There should be a mixture of atleast 3-4 vegetables and greens in every day diet.While cooking,cutting the vegetables and leaving them dry is very bad.The best process is to cut the vegetables while cooking,side by side.In today's circumstances,where we eat something and rush to office,its really impossible to do all the above.To compensate the time,what our people do is,to cut all the vegetables required in the previous night itself.Where will all the minerals and vitamins be,for the next day's cooking.Those cut vegetables will just be used to fill the stomach.It wont add any nutritional value at all to the food.The same way,the water which is used for boiling the vegetables are usually drained off.What are we draining?We are draining all the salts and minerals which were in the vegetables.Best advice is to use the water in the cooking process.Use right quantity of water during cooking,so we dont waste neither water nor the nutritional values of vegetables.
                                Each and everyother vegetable has a different composition of minerals and salts.Each of these vegetables will help keeping us away from so many diseases.Vegetables have nutritional content far better than the pulses,grams,rice and wheat.So make sure we  eat more of vegetables and less of rice and other things.

Helathy Living

                            In the current world,where everything is chasing everything.One cannot really understand for what they are chasing.The early man considered the biggest luxury was food and shelter.Now the luxuries have many names and many rates.In finding eternity in the current luxuries,man find himself lost on the basic necessities, eating good food and breathe clean air.My Grandparents ate the vegetables,rice,wheat from his own farm(which is not polluted by the current pesticides and insecticides) and had twenty varieties of trees in his backyard.The number of times they would had visited their entire lifetime,we do it in 6 months time period.
                            Man has lost his life discipline.The discipline what the body needs is not fulfilled.The balance between the body and mind is not kept.Everything is fast,everything is furious.Both the mind and the body is not able to keep pace with the situations.The worst human fails to have a proper food.All the work,we humans do for what?Its for the food.He earns money for food.He lives for food.But he forgets,that he does everything for food.
                            In olden days,any ailment was treated with medicine which was to go with food.These medicines were not Aspirin pills.They were the normal food consumed by everyone of us on day to day basis.They regulate the diet,so as to giving the body proper nutrition to revive faster and healthier.In current situation,everyone who has an ailment wants to go to doctor and get cured immediately.There is no time to give our body enough time to recover.People cannot afford to take a day off from the work.Same is our body. Committed to our necessity.It cant say NO.
                            In olden days man was more independent.Now man is more dependent.Some one has to learn every how to survive watching a television show.He is dependent on another human being for anything and everything.This lazy habit brooded to become some of the strange diseases everyone of us go through at one phase or another.One out of the four people are obese now.All these are happening just because everyone is losing the body and mind balance.How to eat nutritiously and stay healthy.Than eating all chemical medicines and finding new diseases on the process.Explore the world of vegetables,herbs and fruits.
                           Our ancestors are so kind that they have shared with us enough information on how strike this balance between body and mind.The same balance chord has to be struck with the nature too.Eat everything naturally.Make everything you eat by yourselves.Buy fresh meat and fish,not frozen.Avoid preserved food items.This will make people more healthier than they are.Try having a small garden at your backyard,balcony,terrace.Grow small vegetables and herbs.That gives you the right balance to survive this world.People forget this and search for answers in gyms,aerobics,dieting etc...
